This summer marked a milestone for the Springboro Wind Symphony as we launched our inaugural middle school band camp at Bellbrook High School. Over the course of one inspiring week, 88 junior high musicians from 15 different schools across Southwest Ohio came together to grow as musicians, teammates, and individuals.

From the very first day, the energy was electric. Motivational speaker Fran Kick set the tone with his dynamic “Kick It In!” session, igniting enthusiasm in both students and parents. His message of passion and perseverance resonated deeply, fueling excitement for the week ahead.

Throughout camp, students balanced focused rehearsals and private lessons with moments of fun and camaraderie. They worked diligently in sectionals to refine their skills, then joined forces as a full ensemble to bring the music to life. Along the way, games and team‑building activities kept spirits high and friendships growing.

The week culminated in a Friday noon performance, where the young musicians showcased everything they had learned. Their joy, dedication, and artistry shone brightly, leaving families and staff profoundly moved.

We are deeply grateful to the students who poured their hearts into the music, the parents who supported them, and the staff whose vision and commitment made this camp possible. Together, we created not just a camp, but a spark for creativity, growth, and community connection that will resonate for years to come.
